Gerrard Lindley
Gerrard is a freelance graphic artist and illustrator.
At present he produces commercial images for the print,
publishing and advertising industry and he also creates work for the giftware and
greetings card market.
He sells his
personal work from his own studio and other galleries in
the South West and Yorkshire. He can work to commission
for individuals and business, and has run art workshops
for both adults, children and people with learning disabilities.
His love of music goes back to the
day his Dad bought a Dansette record
player and a local Teddy Boy gave him
a copy of 'Mean Woman Blues' by Jerry
Lee Lewis - which brought his record
collection to the grand total of three,
alongside Lonnie Donegan and Johhny
Duncan's Bluegrass Boys.
Gerrard is also a blues harmonica player,
with countless gigs under his belt, and
presently works with two local rhythm
and blues bands. He cites Sonny Terry,
Little Walter, Hammie Nixon and Al Wilson
as his main musical influences.
